Homework:
Add the foods that we talked about today to the illustrated chart that you began for homework last lesson. Remember to use Google images or illustrate the chart yourself with your drawings if you prefer. Label the illustrations in Tsalagi ONLY so that you begin to associate the food name in Tsalagi with what it is visually rather than with its English name.
Language Notes:
1. As mentioned previously, in Tsalagi, when talking about having an object, different words are used depending on whether the object is solid, long and rigid, flexible, or liquid. On this chart, the terms for liquids have been added.
Ha gi ne ha (I have some liquid)
Tsa ne ha (You have some liquid)
(H)U ne ha (He/She has some liquid)
Da gi ne ha (I have 2 or more liquids)
De tsa ne ha (You have 2 or more liquids)
Du ne ha (He/She has 2 or more liquids)
2. Notice that some words that are similar in phonetics have symbols to show you how they are pronounced differently. Ɂ indicates a glottal stop – like a pause in the word. The symbol : indicates that the vowel sound is drawn out longer.
VOCABULARY LIST

Tsu we tsi eggs
