Here is a dialogue that you can act out with a classmate. Take on either role number 1 or role number 2. Fill in the personal data as needed.

ACTIVITY: Answer the following in complete sentences based on the dialogue. You will need to fill in the names of the people to whom the question pertains after you have practiced this with your partner. After your answers have been checked for correctness, go back and write the questions and the answers in the syllabary.

ACTIVITY: Write or type the dialogue in your notes. Practice the dialogue aloud with a classmate. Be prepared to present the dialogue as a skit for the class. If your teacher has plastic food that you can use for props, that will enhance your presentation. If not, you can go onto Google images and print out some pictures of the foods you talk about in the presentation. During the practice, take on both of the roles at least once, and then decide who will have the roles for your final presentation.
Homework:
Start an illustrated chart of the foods we have learned so far, leaving room to add more foods as we learn more. Use Google images or illustrate the chart yourself with your drawings if you prefer. Label the illustrations in Tsalagi ONLY so that you begin to associate the food name in Tsalagi with what it is visually rather than with its English name.
Language Notes:
In Tsalagi, when talking about having an object, different words are used depending on whether the object is solid, long and rigid, flexible, or liquid.
A supplemental chart follows to show the different forms. This will also come in handy as you learn about more different kinds of food, since they will fall into different categories. Make certain to have this handy.
